Refund Amounts
Beverage container deposits are based solely on the size of the container and not the material it is made from. This means that there are two different deposit amounts: beverage containers designed to hold 1L or less equal a 10 cent deposit per container and beverage containers designed to hold over 1L equal a 25 cent deposit per container.
1 Litre or Less ($0.10)
The deposit is ¢10 per container for metal containers, glass bottles, plastic containers, Tetra Packs, and Gable Top
More Than 1 Litre ($0.25)
The deposit is ¢25 per container for metal containers, glass bottles, plastic containers, Tetra Packs, Gable Top, and HDPE.
